Just a quick post on what is currently disturbing me, although it is not new nor surprise me, but I find it difficult to accept for a very long time..
For all the Law of Evidence I had learnt last year in my Forensic Science degree, which includes Murder charge, rape charge, Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH), Actual Bodily Harm (ABH), Grievous Bodily Harm with racial content, Assault Occasional Bodily Harm, and many more, including those that is not within the scope of my study, but I still can find the legal context online, and we all do know what is the "minimum" punishment for those proven guilty criminals.. and we do still get reports on the following links..
Firstly, here is a
17 yr old student that have a pendant stuck in her lower right eye, she had just gone to a playground nearby with her three young sisters, age between 5 and 11, and her sister in law, a 18 month old baby. And the attackers, both female, age 16 and 19, verbally and racially abuse them.. then came in another 16 yr old boy, and things just got messy.. The victim is just centimetres away from being left blinded, and the other younger ones is left watching a horror scene, it's just lucky that they are left unharmed.. I must point this out that the 16 yr old boy, has 30 previous convictions, no, I am NOT exaggerating, it's THIRTY previous conviction for a 16 yr old lad.. how does he get that number and still walking freely abusing other youngsters, I DON'T KNOW.. and what he get for this assault?? 9(nine) months supervision order and placed under curfew for 2(two) months.. do you really think they will be a supervisor supervise this lad. and make sure he will follow the curfew??? How about the 16 yr old girl that did the punching and embedding the pendant into the victim's eye? She's not that bad from the high conviction rates, she has 13 previous convictions, and still walking around verbally racially abusing people and punching people.. and she only get 9(nine) months supervision order.. of all, both the parents have to pay 200pounds for the costs, do you really think the trauma of this incident only cost 400pounds? What happened to the

Secondly, this case is quite similar to the first case,
also injury to the eye, but on the right.. Unprovoked attack on the victim, the attacked rammed a pint glass directly into the right eye of the victim, if the hand is higher or the victim is taller, sharps will be entering directly into her cornea.. the interesting part is the police are unable to track down the attacker, but the victim used Facebook to look the attacker up.. sentence?? rather than
kept in penal servitude for ABH, it's just 120 hours of community service, which I never seen anybody did it..
Third case, another racial case,
but this one gone way too far to murder.. The victim, was an Indian Naval Officer, came all the way to UK to study, just like me.. just study, that's it.. but somehow the victim for a death sentence rather than the murderer.. The victim was slashed in the neck by the murderer, in an unprovoked attack, after that, the murderer celebrate with his friends.. Juries in the high court returned an unanimous verdict of racially aggravated murder, sentenced to life imprisonment with a "minimum term of 18 years", the minimum term of 18 years, what's that gonna mean?? it means that that murderer can come out walking around the streets 18 years later, or maybe early than that, rather than life imprisonment.. I do not remember I studied this before, and I did not notice that my law lecturer told me that if you kill someone, you can come out after 18 years later.. if he can be released from the prison 18 years later, why bother drafting the law and put in "life imprisonment" if the judge is not going to make sure the sentence is followed?
Forth case, rape case,
and somehow the attacker commits the same crime just 8(eight) days after he was let free.. how can this be possible?? no idea.. ask the judge please.. the 16 yr old rapist, yes, he is 16, committed the first offence in June 2008, and only a year later appear in court, and the judge sentence the rapist for 3-year community order, which I had been seeing many blogpost saying that these community order recipients, will fail to comply, and will be brought to court again for failure to do community order, eventually will get more community order rather than prison sentence, and the circle go around again.. just 8 days after the community order sentence been given out to the freed rapist, he abducted a 5 yr old boy and sexually assaulted him.. if on the first sentence,
had followed the law passed by the parliament, to imprisonment for life, they will be one less rapist of the street, one less 5 yr old boy live his life without any nightmare.. But the judge let the rapist go because of his parent beliefs in Christianity.. Just imagine the 5 yr old boy is you.. what were you doing when you are 5 year old?
Fifth one, is something I still can't understand.. on breaking news..
Female killer flees on shop visit.. if she is a convicted murderer, she should be locked away for life (although I doubt she will be doing life imprisonment), but somehow she is on a shop visit in London (probably doing an early christmas shopping), during an escorted visit.. how the hell she flee under an escorted visit? and how the hell she is out in the street in the first place?? If police describe her as "dangerous" and should not be approach, why is she "approaching" to the public in london shops in a busy high street??
