We went to Kent Police College in Maidstone, Kent, attended a one day field trip with the Kent Police Tactical Firearms Unit, luckily they did not received any call outs that day.. If not, the whole trip will have to be canceled.
Well, we don't always go to police station, and not even the training centre for those who will be Police or PCSO, its really an honour to be in there! Especially for me!! Before we went there, we had been told seriously, 7ft guys with guns are not allowed to have their faces in our cameras, we don't know why and we doesn't want to know why, we are not allowed to wandered ourselves around the facility as it is a secure site, we may be locked up in the cell if we do wandered around until somebody come free us and they will have to answer questions to the Head of Department why we end up spending a night in the cell.

We are separated into 3 groups, 15 of us in a group, my group went to Weapons Introduction first, which I found it my favourite, but kind of disappointing that I did not take pictures holding them.. In this room is a range of firearms currently using by the force, had been used by the force but phased out, and some are illegal ones that had been handed in or confiscated, and some are fake firearms, which is known as Airsoft, but they are very similar to the real one. I do still manage to identify which is real and which is fake, after the firearm been waving around in front of me for some time, if its in the dark and the suspect is a metre away, i'll be praying and running away rather than giving a wild guess rather its real or not...

The police then demonstrate the uses of Taser X26, he didn't shot anyone, but pulling the trigger even without the pins attached onto the Taser will discharge 50,000 volts over a 5 second period between the 2 leads on the Taser... One student had been asked to hold a silver spoon, he then demonstrate to show that the electric charge will not shock the student without having the 2 leads touching the spoon...
Then we went to Judgemental room, that's the room where you will be giving practise and learn how to justify your shooting, my group went into the room, let us know what we need to, basically the firearms we are using are all real firearms, but the barrel had been changed to a laser one, and there is a screen which will be watching, and a scenario will be played. We will need to neutralise the situation. Nobody wanted to go for it, so me and my friend went first.. G36C had been given to us, the scenario is a hostage taker had taken hostage in a school, unknown number of student, but one suspect, with firearm.. He did not point the gun at anybody when we reach him, but the he is holding the gun at his waist level, we didn't thought it is a threat, so we hesitated, until he "mi ni my nee mi ni mo" to someone, we started to shoot, I'm 1/100th second slower than my friend, he shot the suspect first, the suspect fell, that 1/100th of second had made my bullet to hit the student behind...... @.@ We actually started to shoot 16seconds after a threat had occured, which he had his gun in his waist pointing at someone, we were wrong and thought his body language doesn't say so, we have to shoot at that point....
Too bad nobody took any pictures of me holding the firearm....
Finally classroom talks about gun shot wounds, where we find it quite boring because we are seen them in our lectures...
Then we break for lunch, where we went outside in the grass sitting under the warm sun for sandwiches.. It's been sunny and warm and relaxing this few days, last year it was still so cold, that it snow in April...
Finally, we went into the firing range... Only to know that we are not allowed to fire any firearms, because the law say so.... (=.=) It's dissapointing, you know? At least give me have a go with my favourite one.......

And these are the firearms will be using by the police for demonstration... All are currently used widely by the force in UK and worldwide...
AWP is mainly used for recon rather than shooting anyone, the sound is freaking loud, even with some soft ear buds and hands covering the ear.. After riddling the bullets to these innocent targets, we went to have a look at these pity ones... I am sure I would not want to be standing the other side of the targets when they got shot with, there is a through and through for the so called bullet proof vest shot by G36C using 5.56 x 45mm, AWP using 7.62 x 50mm and Remington 870..

The shotgun shell - 00 Buck Shot for Remington 870, within the shot have nine 9mm little pellets, so one shot of this is the same as you pull the Glock 17 trigger 9 times...

Lesson of the day, if you saw someone holding something look like a gun, run.
Do not hide behind a wooden door, or a car door, or even think of wearing a bullet prood vest, none of these will save your life... Just run....
Best one of the day, there once a grandmother have a German G3 automatic rifle, which her husband had somehow got hold of it during World War II, but her husband passed away, and she have no idea what to do with it, so she decided to hand in the weapon, by putting it into a supermarket plastic bag, and took a bus ride to the Kent Police station, we all are surprised nobody noticed old granny with a machine gun...
There are more shotguns out there legally held by civilian than handguns illegally held by civilians, but shotguns are much more destructive, pictures will tell the story... And still the law allow farmers and farmer's mums to have shotguns... No idea why...
